Interior design Caitlin Henderson
sit side-by-side with sustainable pieces made by Burmese craftspeople, as curated by Caitlin Henderson. In collaboration with Culture A, Inhabit Southwick Street’s art program features a mix of emerging and established names working with textile, metal, painting, and photography, while the hotel's relationship with social enterprises Goldfinger Factory, Aerende, Kalinko, Self Care Co, and Studio ND bring a social conscience to key furnishings and design pieces. Many artworks, such as Miya Ando’s fine art prints, inspire contemplation, while Nur Mut’s landscape photography aims to encourage an appreciation of nature.
Architecture Holland Harvey Architects
Architectural highlights include a plant-filled atrium ideal for a moment of reflection and a former drawing room reimagined and envisioned as a modern library by Holland Harvey Architects. Floors of English limestone create a feeling of permanence underfoot, while fiddle-leaf fig trees and plant boxes of rosemary and thyme perfume the air and bring nature within arm’s reach.
Let Nature Nourish The Kitchen
the hotel is home to a kitchen that offers an all-day menu and includes a range of plant-based dishes, cold-pressed juices made to order, coffees, and teas. Inspired by a certain Californian approach to food, the kitchen aims at wholesome nourishment in harmony with the hotel’s overall wellness-first concept.
Well read The Library
on a range of diverse subjects can be perused in the hotel’s library. Time to step into a space of quietude and bury your nose in a good book.
