Location
A culinary and culture haven, Porvoo is known for its Old Town, which is awash with idyllic colorful wooden houses, small boutiques, restaurants, and cafés. Just an hour’s drive from Helsinki and 30 minutes from Helsinki-Vantaa Airport, this medieval setting is steeped in history, with well-preserved buildings, such as the cathedral, dating back to the 15th century. The Old Railway Station has been transformed into an art gallery and summer café. Along with the Porvoonjoki River Valley, Porvoo’s Old Town is recognized as a National Landscape of Finland.
